REALM Stakeholder Workshop: patient group and medical charity perspectives on evaluation of medical AI
Please complete the following registration form to confirm your participation in the workshop. The information provided will be used to organise the event.
About the workshop
The REALM Stakeholder Workshop will bring together representatives from patient organisations and disease-oriented medical research charities across Europe to share their perspectives on how AI-based medical software should be evaluated and regulated. The workshop will introduce participants to the aims of the REALM consortium, including its efforts to develop a European framework — or regulatory sandbox — for the collaborative evaluation of medical AI.
Through presentations, discussion of a live use case, and small-group sessions, participants will explore key issues such as trust in medical AI, timely access and regulatory oversight, and what matters in evaluating AI tools from a patient and societal perspective.
This event offers a unique opportunity to help shape more inclusive and transparent approaches to medical AI evaluation by contributing directly to the design of shared principles and guidance for European practice.
Target group: Representatives of patient organizations and medical charities based in European countries
To support participation, the REALM consortium will cover travel costs, lunch and refreshments, and — where needed — one night of accommodation for invited participants. In addition, participants will receive an honorarium of €50 in recognition of their time and expertise.
